| Hello, this is your friend in the orange, Nathan K. I woke up this morning with a headache, and started scrolling on my phone. I admit this is not the best way to spend my first few waking moments, esp with a headache. As I was scrolling I started feeling pretty lost. Like, what’s the point? Ugh. You know when it’s finally the weekend, and can do anything you want, but don’t want to do anything? As I was thinking these things, a song popped into my head, and I hurried to grab a guitar and write it down before it was lost, like me. ha. 10 mins later I had a voice memo of a song called “Weird Gold Dollar”. I’d love to share it with you. I think my favorite line in it is “occasionally there’s light.” The world feels dark a lot of the time, but occasually you get a little flicker of light and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s nice to hold onto those. To listen, click the link below, which will take you to a presave link for my new song “Johnny’s” that comes out on 8/29/25, about being at a party and feeling alone and wishing you had stayed home. More on that later! Once you click through the presave it will redirect your browser to a link for “Weird Gold Dollar.” I hope it helps you like it helped me. |
